Role Summary
We are looking for a dependable and technically capable Livestreaming Technician to support the setup, operation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of livestream and webcast productions for corporate events, conferences, hybrid events, and virtual broadcasts.
This role is responsible for ensuring smooth video, audio, and streaming delivery across live platforms. The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, detail-oriented, technically hands-on, and comfortable working in fast-paced live production environments.
Key Responsibilities
Livestream & Webcast Setup
- Set up and test livestreaming and webcast equipment before events
- Configure streaming workflows for platforms such as Zoom, YouTube, Vimeo, Microsoft Teams, or custom webcast platforms
- Prepare encoders, switchers, audio feeds, capture devices, network connections, and monitoring tools
- Perform pre-event checks on signal flow, audio quality, graphics, playback, and stream health
Live Event Operation
- Operate livestream and webcast systems during live events
- Monitor stream quality, audio levels, bitrate, latency, and connection stability
- Switch video sources, manage presentation feeds, and support show flow as required
- Coordinate with producers, AV crew, presenters, and clients during live execution
- Ensure a smooth experience for virtual and hybrid audiences
Troubleshooting & Technical Support
- Identify and resolve technical issues quickly during setup and live operation
- Troubleshoot problems relating to audio, video, internet connectivity, encoder settings, and streaming platforms
- Escalate major issues quickly and calmly when needed
- Maintain backup workflows and contingency plans for critical live events
Production Support
- Assist with camera feeds, presentation capture, graphics, playback, and platform setup
- Support integration between in-room AV systems and livestream workflows
- Coordinate rehearsal and show readiness with internal teams and clients
- Assist with recording, post-event file handling, and stream wrap-up where required
Equipment & Prep
- Prepare, test, pack, and maintain livestreaming equipment
- Ensure all cables, converters, encoders, laptops, monitors, and accessories are complete and working
- Flag faulty or missing equipment promptly
- Support equipment return checks and organization after projects
Requirements
- Prior experience in livestreaming, webcast production, AV, broadcast, or video production preferred
- Basic understanding of video and audio signal flow
- Familiarity with livestreaming platforms and hybrid event workflows
- Able to work under pressure in live environments
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow show flow accurately
- Responsible, punctual, and dependable
- Willing to work irregular hours, weekends, and public holidays when required
Preferred Skills
- Experience with streaming software and hardware encoders
- Familiarity with video switchers, capture devices, audio mixers, and recording workflows
- Understanding of bitrate, resolution, frame rate, network stability, and stream monitoring
- Experience with Zoom webinars, Teams, YouTube Live, Vimeo, or event webcast platforms
- Ability to troubleshoot audio-video sync, encoder issues, and network-related stream failures
- Familiarity with hybrid event production is a strong advantage
