Role Summary
We are looking for a dependable AV Crew / Event Operations Technician to support the preparation, delivery, setup, operation, and teardown of audiovisual equipment for live events, corporate functions, exhibitions, webcasts, and rentals.
This role is hands-on and suits someone who is comfortable with physical work, technical equipment, and fast-paced event environments. The ideal candidate is punctual, responsible, willing to learn, and able to work both in the warehouse and on-site.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse & Prep
- Prepare equipment for upcoming jobs based on packing lists and job sheets
- Test, clean, label, pack, and stage AV equipment before deployment
- Ensure cables, accessories, adapters, stands, and power distribution are complete
- Report missing, damaged, or faulty equipment
- Assist with stock organization, return checks, and equipment maintenance
Delivery & Logistics Support
- Load and unload AV equipment safely and efficiently
- Support vehicle packing to reduce damage and improve deployment efficiency
- Assist with site delivery, collection, and logistics coordination
- Follow proper handling procedures for TVs, speakers, LED panels, projectors, trussing, and other equipment
On-Site Setup & Operations
- Assist in setup, testing, and teardown of AV systems for events
- Set up items such as:
- TVs and display screens
- Projectors and screens
- Audio systems and microphones
- Lighting equipment
- Video switchers and signal flow
- Webcast and streaming support equipment
- LED wall systems where required
- Run cables neatly and safely
- Perform basic troubleshooting during setup and event operation
- Follow show instructions from team leads, engineers, and project managers
Event Execution
- Support live event operations on-site
- Assist with cue-based changes, equipment swaps, and quick troubleshooting
- Maintain professional conduct when working around clients and venue staff
- Respond calmly under time pressure and changing event requirements
Safety & Discipline
- Follow workplace safety procedures during loading, setup, and teardown
- Handle equipment carefully to minimize damage and loss
- Maintain punctuality for reporting time, site arrival, and project schedules
- Keep work areas, cases, and cable runs neat and safe
Requirements
- Prior experience in AV, events, staging, production, rental, or technical support is preferred but not mandatory
- Physically fit and comfortable handling equipment
- Able to work irregular hours, early mornings, late nights, weekends, and public holidays when required
- Willing to work both in the warehouse and at event sites
- Basic understanding of AV equipment is an advantage
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to take instructions well
- Responsible, punctual, and team-oriented
- Singapore Class 3 driving license is a plus
Preferred Skills
- Basic knowledge of audio, video, and signal flow
- Familiarity with XLR, HDMI, SDI, CAT6, and power distribution
- Experience with corporate events, exhibitions, or live shows
- Experience handling TVs, projectors, wireless microphones, mixers, speakers, or LED wall systems
- Ability to troubleshoot simple signal or connectivity issues
- Comfortable using ladders, tools, and flight cases safely
