Role Summary
We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Driver / AV Technician to support the delivery, setup, operation, and collection of audiovisual equipment for events, exhibitions, corporate functions, and rentals. This role combines safe and responsible driving with practical AV setup and on-site technical support.
The ideal candidate is punctual, careful, physically fit, and comfortable working both on the road and on-site in fast-paced event environments.
Key Responsibilities
Driving & Delivery
- Transport AV equipment safely and punctually to event venues, client sites, and other locations
- Load and unload equipment carefully to prevent damage
- Plan and follow delivery schedules, routes, and timing requirements
- Ensure all items are checked before departure and upon return
- Maintain cleanliness and basic care of company vehicles
- Report vehicle issues, delays, or incidents promptly
AV Setup & Technical Support
- Assist with setup, testing, operation, and teardown of AV equipment
- Set up equipment such as TVs, projectors, screens, speakers, microphones, lighting, and video systems
- Run and manage cables neatly and safely
- Support basic troubleshooting of signal, power, audio, and display issues
- Follow setup instructions from crew leads, engineers, and project managers
- Support live event execution where required
Warehouse & Return Duties
- Assist with equipment preparation before jobs
- Check returned items for completeness, damage, or faults
- Help clean, pack, test, and organize equipment after projects
- Report missing or faulty items to the operations team
Safety & Discipline
- Drive responsibly and comply with traffic regulations
- Handle equipment carefully and follow safe lifting and loading practices
- Maintain punctuality for reporting, loading, site arrival, and project timings
- Represent the company professionally when interacting with clients, venue staff, and team members
Requirements
- Valid Singapore driving licence
- Good driving record and confidence driving vans or larger vehicles
- Physically fit and able to carry and move equipment
- Willing to work irregular hours, weekends, and public holidays when required
- Responsible, punctual, and dependable
- Comfortable with hands-on technical and operational work
- Able to work in a fast-paced events environment
- Prior AV or event experience is preferred but not mandatory
Preferred Skills
- Basic knowledge of AV equipment and setup
- Familiarity with XLR, HDMI, SDI, CAT6, microphones, speakers, projectors, and TVs
- Experience with deliveries, logistics, or technical event support
- Ability to troubleshoot simple AV issues on-site
- Good teamwork and communication skills
